Introducing an Ambleside Dermedics exclusive treatment! We are excited to offer this new procedure for the treatment of wrinkles, pigmentation, acne scars and overall tone & texture improvement!
Medical Micro Needling is a minimally invasive procedure designed by renowned plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernandes in South Africa. Ambleside Dermedics have experienced timeless success in providing our patients desirable results combining this technology with our gold standard photofacial.
Medical Micro Needling is a safe and minimally invasive alternative to more abrasive and invasive procedures. The simple technique involves the newest microneedling technology in the market today – the Dermapen – which creates channels into the dermis, inducing a natural process of skin rejuvenation. Medical Micro Needling of the skin creates tiny areas of trauma that initiate a natural process of healing which releases numerous growth factors and also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As a result, the skin becomes smoother and tighter, without any damage to the overlying epidermis.
The second part of this procedure involves our state-of-the-art gold standard laser resurfacing technology;Photofacial or IPL (Intense Pulse Laser). Using a controlled beam of energy, Dr. Shehla Ebrahim is able to achieve exact penetration of depth into the dermis in order to vaporize the damaged / acne-scarred skin in a safe manner with predicable outcomes and results.
Thin sections of skin are removed, layer by layer, which allows for the skin’s regeneration process to occur, resulting in smoother and more even skin.
